Scarecrows Scare Up Cooperation on Campus

The Ag Club hosted a community event of a different kind this year called the Scarecrow Trail. The purpose was to promote the ag program and farm across campus and throughout the community while raising awareness and donations for the Eagle Pantry.  There were eight entries this first year representing: Student Services, Nursing students 1st yr, Nursing Students 2nd year, Film Club, Table Top Club, Photography Club, Psi Beta, and Biochem Club.  Scarecrows were placed within the maze on the farm and visible for school tours, BoyScout Campout weekend, Women in the Outdoors and Scare Affair hayride.

Students and guests were asked to vote for their top three scarecrows and it was a tight race.

Winners were:

People’s Choice: Nursing students 2nd year

scarecrow winner

Most Representative – Nursing students 1st year

Most Creative – Photography Club.

Each of these clubs will receive $100 to their club budget.  Thank you to all of our contests, sponsors and students who made this project successful.  Plans are already being made for next year’s Scarecrow Trail.
