The Northeast Texas Community College Continuing Education Department will host a spring travel course to the Dallas Arboretum and Texas Discovery Gardens on Thursday, April 30.
The group will travel by motor coach to Dallas to spend an exciting morning touring the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. With more than 60 acres of finely-manicured grounds, the Arboretum provides breathtaking views for residents and tourists year round. After a leisurely lunch, participants will journey to the Texas Discovery Gardens at Fair Park. There they will discover easy ways to sustain the natural world of organic gardens, a tropical butterfly house and a native snake exhibit.
“We are excited to offer another fun travel learning opportunity. These trips have been well-received in the past and we look forward to hosting members of our community for a relaxing day of sightseeing,” Lisa York, NTCC Director of Continuing Education, said.
The course is open to anyone ages 17 and up. You do not have to be an NTCC student. Early Bird Registration (by March 27) is $89 per person. Regular registration is $99 per person. The cost includes transportation and tickets to both venues. Lunch will be on your own.
