It is officially summer at Northeast Texas Community College and the campus is buzzing with activity. Over the next few weeks, we will highlight some of the special programs taking place at NTCC this summer. This week’s Summer Spotlight feature is EagleGanza!
NTCC hosted the first EagleGanza event of the summer this Thursday. Anyone planning to attend NTCC for the first time in fall 2023 is highly encouraged to attend one of the three remaining dates!
EagleGanza is an action-packed half-day event designed to help students prepare for their upcoming college experience. It is specifically targeted for incoming freshmen and those thinking about attending NTCC.
"EagleGanza has been a big hit for the last two years and we are exciting to welcome our new class of first-time students," Kim Irvin, Associate Vice President for Student Services, said. “We have an incredible team that has been working for months to plan an EagleGanza program that is fun, informative and engaging.”
The experience includes a campus tour, fun activities, a chance to meet with faculty, different programs, clubs and organizations and even register for classes. Everyone who participates will receive a free t-shirt, free lunch and a chance to receive A $100 scholarship. One lucky student will win a $1,000 scholarship!
There are three more EagleGanza events planned throughout the upcoming weeks. Dates include: July 13th, July 25th and August 9th. EagleGanza will be held from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. starting at the Eagle baseball field. Click here for more information and to sign up for your preferred date.
