The Northeast Texas Community College Business Club helped students in two area Head Start programs celebrate Easter this week. Students and faculty members, accompanied by the Easter Bunny, delivered Easter baskets filled with goodies to kids at Pittsburg ISD and Pewitt CISD. Business Club students purchased items for the baskets with funds raised throughout the year, assembled the baskets and delivered them on Wednesday. While they primarily raise money to provide scholarships for members, the club relegates a portion of their annual proceeds to a community service project like this one. Any student interested in a career in business or who is taking business classes is welcome to join.
