EagleGanza kicks off with first event

Northeast Texas Community College hosted its first EagleGanza freshman experience on Tuesday, June 29. Around 50 students participated in the action-packed event that gives incoming freshmen a chance to explore the NTCC campus, learn about programs and clubs, meet with advisors and even register for classes.

“We were so pleased with how our inaugural EagleGanza turned out. Our goal is to make our incoming students feel comfortable on our campus and confident going into their first semester. It is a great way for them to make new friends, get to know our faculty and staff and learn about the many opportunities they have here at NTCC,” Kim Irvin, Dean of Enrollment Management said.

Students who plan to attend NTCC this fall who did not participate in the first event still have two more opportunities to sign up. Additional EagleGanza events are scheduled for July 8 and July 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The experience is completely free and includes a t-shirt, lunch and up to a $100 scholarship for participating in EagleGanza activities. There is even a chance to win a $1,000 scholarship! Anyone who plans to attend NTCC or who is considering it and would like to learn more are encouraged to register. For more information and to sign up, visit www.ntcc.edu/eagleganza.
