This summer, Reyna Stephanie Soto from Daingerfield will join outstanding college students and professionals from across the nation to take part in a unique academic and career-oriented development experience, International Scholar Laureate Program in Sydney, Brisbane, and Cairns, Australia.
The International Scholar Laureate Program is one of the Envision family of programs (www.envisionexperience.com) that enable students to explore their interests and experience learning beyond the classroom.
Reyna Stephanie Soto is a student at Northeast Texas Community College. She is one of two students from NTCC that has had the opportunity to attend the program. Soto has previously been commended for her academic achievements, graduating from high school with distinguished honors and sixth in her class. At Northeast Texas Community college, she is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society International and has participated in multiple 5k runs for charity events including the Cinco De Mayo 5K and the Good Luck Fun Run benefiting Court Appointed Special Advocates. Reyna Stephanie Soto is currently employed by Pilgrim?s in Mt. Pleasant, TX. Pilgrim?s CEO Bill Lovette is sponsoring her participation in the program.
?The International Scholar Laureate Program is a great opportunity for high-achieving scholars to get outside the classroom and see, through hands-on interactive learning, how to innovate and think creatively,? said Andrew Potter, the Chief Academic Officer for Envision. ?These students, who have already proven themselves academically, will be challenged to work on real-world, student-created projects to bring their studies and career interests to life.?
Since 1985, Envision programs have served more than 800,000 students in more than 145 countries, with programs designed to help students develop the leadership, scholarship and career skills needed to succeed in today?s competitive college and career landscape.
