The Northeast Texas Community College BioChem Student Organization has been busy this semester! Students served as judges at the Region VIII Educational Service Center Science Fair on February 8. They judged student projects ranging from grades four through 12 †in biology, behavioral science, chemical/physical science and inventions. The students spoke with each student and evaluated their projects based on scientific method, creativity and presentation.
Additionally, a group of BioChem students travelled with professors to College Station to attend the Texas A&M University BIMS 2+2 Transfer Day on February 12. They were able to participate in a variety of exercises and presentations on biomedical sciences to help them prepare for university level work. This included a visit tot he Gross Anatomy Lab at the Texas A&M College of Medicine.†
