Shirley Clay†presents Bob Fenton†with a gift basket†for being named NTCC?s Fittest Employee†of the Month†for April.†To receive this award, an employee must†be caught practicing†overt wellness behavior and attitude.†

The Wellness Committee is on the lookout for a May recipient!

Here's a message from Bob regarding her†personal wellness plan?

Thanks to the committee for this recognition.††This will teach me to talk to Dr. Seaborne.

I believe that wellness keeps away illness.††For a number of years I have been attempting to lose weight with the idea that I would feel better and have more energy.††And thus be healthier.††I have bought books and ordered pills to lose weight, all to no avail.††Loose a little, gain a little.††Weight loss will come with a change in lifestyle and eating habits.††In the last 90 days, I have lost 25 pounds by changing my eating habits and committing to eat healthy.†††It is a new lifestyle change for me and my wife.††We both feel better and have more energy.†††Both of us have made a commitment.††Simply we have eliminated all carbs, sugar, including sweeteners, dairy, and eat fresh fruits and vegetables, nuts and meat.††The fast-food places in town have sent us get well cards.††By the way, I still have to add exercise to the plan, but that will come along with my honey-do list for this summer.

God has given each of us only so many days on earth and I would rather spend my money for the rest of those days eating healthy than on medical bills and pills.††Thank God for good health.
