The Northeast Texas Community College Men’s Soccer team defeated Paris Junior College 5-0 on Saturday, October 22nd to earn a trip to the National Junior College Athletic Association playoffs. Goalie Enzo Camps (France) came up big with 7 saves in the win.
A long-awaited “COVID” edition of the journal, Touchstone has appeared this fall. The Texas State Historical Association (TSHA) has published this collegiate journal since 1982. It is one of the longest-running scholarly publications for undergraduate authors in the United States.
The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a $42,039.06 donation from the estate of Earl Christian Williamson. Nita May (left), Director of Development, and Dr. Jonathan McCullough, Executive Vice President for Advancement, are pictured receiving the check. Williamson was a computer science faculty member at NTCC from 1988 to 1998.

For over ten years in the “BioTex” seminar at NTCC, honors students have experienced a November “email shootout.” This is something like a cross between an ongoing basketball game with scores changing in real time, and a fast-paced, scholarly-poetic thinkathon.
The Work4College Program is a great way for you to attend NTCC without acquiring debt and provide a hands-on learning experience through a department on campus. The application is available to fill out and submit online at www.Work4College.com. The deadline to apply is April 14, 2023.
Northeast Texas Community College will host its December 2022 Commencement Ceremony on Friday, Dec. 9th at 7 p.m. in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. Seating is limited, so only guests who have tickets will be admitted into the auditorium. Graduation will be streamed live on Youtube and Facebook for those who are unable to attend in person.
Be on the lookout for members of the NTCC Eagles Baseball and Softball teams if you happen to be out shopping in Mount Pleasant today (Friday, Dec. 2nd). Players will be ringing bells for the Salvation Army from 9 a.m. until the evening at Wal Mart, Super One and Mount Pleasant Brookshire's. We are proud of our student athletes for their commitment to serving the community!
As a member of NTCC’s first Presidential-Scholar cohort in 2007, Ann Finch persevered with a topic on the Paleolithic Indians of Texas. The evidence was thin, and she had to surmise scenarios at every turn. And yet her effort culminated into an exercise on thesis maintenance that has been employed as an exercise in honors Texas history every year since.
