Laissez les bons temps rouler! Join us for Mardi Gras Madness, a week of festive celebrations hosted by the Office of Student Development at Northeast Texas Community College! From Monday, March 10th, to Thursday, March 13th, the campus will be buzzing with Mardi Gras spirit during the activity period (12 PM - 1:30 PM). This exciting event is open to all students, faculty, and staff—so come out, have fun, and immerse yourself in the culture, colors, and traditions of Mardi Gras!

Throughout the week, we will also be running a King Cake Baby Hunt! Ja'Quacy Minter and the SGA officers will be hiding King Cake Babies across campus. The student who finds the most by the end of the week will win a special prize!

Each day brings something new, so check out our themed activities below:

Masquerade Monday – Kick off the week by designing your own Mardi Gras mask! Unleash your creativity and craft a unique piece to wear throughout the festivities.

Tasty Tuesday – Savor the flavors of Louisiana with a Cajun picnic! Weather permitting, we'll enjoy a delicious outdoor feast, but if needed, we'll bring the celebration indoors.

Wacky Wednesday – Get ready for some friendly competition! We'll crown NTCC’s first-ever Mardi Gras King and Queen and host a Crazy Socks Contest—the most outrageous and unique pair wins a prize! Bring a pair of socks to donate to our campus-wide Mardi Gras Sock Drive and spread the spirit of giving.

Trivial Thursday – Wrap up the week with a Mardi Gras-themed trivia showdown! Test your knowledge on the history, culture, and traditions of this vibrant celebration.

Join the fun, grab some beads, and let’s celebrate Mardi Gras in style at NTCC!
