Experience and other qualifications required:
- Master's degree required. Doctorate preferred.
- Minimum 18 graduate hours in Government/Political Science required. 18 graduate hours in a secondary teaching field preferred.
- 3 years teaching experience, preferably including experience teaching at a community college.
- Experience using Blackboard or similar LMS.
- Highly motivated, energetic, and creative. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Description of job duties:
- The government instructor at Northeast Texas Community College will be responsible for teaching Texas Government and Federal Government and other areas in which the faculty member is qualified, based on college needs. The teaching load is 5/5 with overload and summer option available. The position is for a full-time face-to-face instructor.
