Farmers, gardeners, and homesteading enthusiasts will gather at Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) on Saturday, March 29, 2025, for the 2nd Annual Homestead Fair. The event, which will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the NTCC Ag Complex, aims to connect local producers and individuals interested in sustainable agriculture and self-sufficiency.
The fair will feature a variety of activities designed to educate and inspire attendees, including farmer-to-farmer conversations, soil rejuvenation workshops, and resource-sharing opportunities. Participants will have the chance to discuss best practices in regenerative agriculture, explore new techniques for improving soil health, and network with like-minded individuals.
A Farmer Show & Tell segment will allow local producers to showcase their work, while a Potluck Lunch will provide an opportunity for informal discussions and connections. NTCC Ag Club will be grilling up some great chicken and rice for just $10 donation and attendees are encouraged to bring their favorite dessert or side dish – please RSVP with your number and what you are bringing. Organizers say the event is open to farmers of all experience levels, from beginners looking for guidance to seasoned homesteaders interested in refining their skills.
"The Homestead Fair is all about community, knowledge-sharing, and practical solutions for those passionate about regenerative farming and sustainable living," said NTCC Ag Director Rene’ McCracken. "We want to give attendees the tools they need to make informed decisions about their farms, gardens, and homesteads."
