Communities In Schools (CIS) brought approximately 275 high school students to the NTCC campus on Wednesday, April 12th. The event was targeted toward high school seniors who have no firm college plans or who are undecided about what they plan to do after graduation.
The half-day event included a welcome, a keynote speaker, breakout sessions with academic programs, campus tours and a fun tailgating-style lunch.
"CAPPED has become an annual tradition at NTCC and we always have a great time hosting it. This is a wonderful opportunity for those seniors who may not believe that college is for them to get to know our campus and interact with our faculty and staff in a meaningful way," Melody Henry, Associate Dean of Outreach Services/Executive Director of CIS, said. "We are very thankful to the schools for participating and for the hard work that our faculty and staff put into making the event a success."
