Position Summary:
The Morris County Collaborative is seeking a full-time Project Administrator who is passionate about
community impact and organizational support. This role serves as a central point of coordination for
the Collaborative’s projects, daily operations, and administrative functions. The Project Administrator
works closely with the Chairman of the Board, board members, partner agencies, and community
members to ensure programs, meetings, and initiatives run smoothly and align with the
Collaborative’s mission of fostering positive, lasting change in the community.
The ideal candidate is community-minded, highly organized, collaborative, and comfortable working
with individuals from diverse ethnic, economic, and cultural backgrounds. Experience with budgets,
scheduling, and project management required.
Job Duties:
- Provide day-to-day administrative and project support to the Morris County Collaborative.
- Serve as a welcoming first point of contact for community members, partners, and visitors.
- Coordinate and support Collaborative projects, initiatives, and timelines to ensure goals are
met. - Schedule and coordinate meetings with Board members, committees, agencies, and
community partners. - Prepare, organize, and distribute Board agendas, packets, reports, minutes, and
announcements. - Collect agenda items at least five (5) days prior to Board meetings.
- Coordinate with planning and logistics for in-house and off-site meetings, community events,
celebrations, and conferences. - Maintain organized office operations, including supplies, mailings, equipment, and records.
- Manage vendors, service providers, IT support, and building maintenance as needed.
- Monitor invoices, billing, and payments to ensure timely processing.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and related logistics as needed.
- Collaborate with the MCC Chairman and board to update, maintain, and implement office
policies and procedures. - Support communication and partnership efforts that strengthen relationships across the
Collaborative. - Contribute team-building efforts and support board goals and community-driven objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Collaborative’s mission.
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Project Administrator, Office Manager, or similar administrative role
preferred. - Strong understanding of administrative systems, project coordination, and organizational
processes. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook), internet platforms, and email.
- Experience with standard office equipment and basic IT coordination.
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and follow-through.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on relationship-building.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, community-focused
environment. - Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced, mission-driven setting.
- Friendly, professional, and service-oriented approach.
- Ability to suggest improvements and support continuous growth of programs and processes.
- High school diploma required.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Additional qualifications in administration, project management, or nonprofit operations are a
plus. - Bilingual skills are a plus.
