SIFE to host 5K run/walk at NTCC

The†Students In Free Enterprise†(SIFE) organization at Northeast Texas Community College will host a 5K Reindeer Run/Walk event on Saturday, Dec. 8th. The run will be held on the NTCC campus and begins at 8 a.m.

Registration will be held in front of†the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on the NTCC campus from 7:00-7:30 a.m. The cost to participate is $25 for all ages, and includes a t-shirt and a pancake breakfast after the run.

Registration underway at NTCC



Registration for the spring 2013 semester is currently underway at Northeast Texas Community College. Students may also register for the holiday intersession term.




Intersession classes are December 17 through January 7. Both online and face-to-face courses are available. These intensive classes allow dedicated students to earn full college credit in about 12 class days. Spring 2013 classes begin on Monday, Jan. 14.

Cypress Bank sponsors Texas Tenors performance

Cypress Bank recently gave $3,000 to sponsor The Texas Tenors' upcoming performance at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College. The Texas Tenors concert will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are still available and may be purchased by calling the Whatley Center Box Office at 903-434-8181.

Eagles softball to host open tryout

The Northeast Texas Community College Eagles Softball program will host an open tryout and evaluation day on Sunday, Dec. 9 at 2 p.m. at the NTCC softball field. The event is open to girls who will graduate from high school in 2013 or 2014. This evaluation will give athletes a chance to showcase their skills in hitting, fielding, throwing, base running, catching, and pitching. All athletes should plan to bring a glove, bat, batting helmet, and cleats. Catchers will need to bring their own personal catching gear. Softball pants are recommended.
