Northeast Texas Community College celebrated its August 2023 commencement on Friday, Aug. 11th at 7 p.m. in the Whatley Center. There were 95 total graduates (not all were in attendance) who received 69 degrees and 50 certificates of competency.

The Adult Education Department at Northeast Texas Community College is accepting new and returning students for its GED (General Educational Development) and ESL (English as a Second Language) programs. Those interested in participating in either of these free educational programs should call to make an appointment for registration.
Christi Denney (left) recently presented Nita May, Director of Development with the Northeast Texas Community College Foundation, with $2,000 to support the Nita DeWoody Memorial Scholarship fund. Multiple donations were received to contribute to the scholarship in memory of JW Hooper, father of Denney and DeWoody, who passed away in 2023.
Northeast Texas Community College will host its August 2023 commencement ceremony tonight on Friday, Aug. 11 in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at 7 p.m. Seating is limited, so only guests who have tickets will be admitted into the auditorium. Graduation will be streamed live on Youtube and Facebook for those who are unable to attend in person.
