The effort of the NTCC Webb Society and Honors Northeast to complete their twelfth feature-length film this summer involved a few novelties. To be sure, as with previous years, the group began from the ground up, fashioning a script from the research of primary sources, and focusing on a niche story from the Texas past.

The NTCC Art Department hosted an artist reception with Frank Herbert on Wednesday in the Whatley Center foyer. Herbert's art will remain on display in the Whatley gallery through Thursday, September 21st. The exhibit is free to view during regular college business hours.

The Northeast Texas Community College Soccer teams hosted Angelina College in their season and conference opener. The Women’s team fell 17-0 and the Men lost 2-0 on Friday. The NTCC Women's soccer team began their conference campaign with a lopsided 17-0 loss on Friday day to nationally ranked Angelina College.
The Northeast Texas Community College Continuing Education department is pleased to offer a series of American Sign Language (ASL) classes beginning Tuesday, Sept. 5th. The classes will be held at Jo's coffee shop in downtown Mount Pleasant and they will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
