Zach Richardson is a Research Librarian at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where he supports evidence synthesis projects, advanced biomedical literature searching, and research initiatives across clinical and academic departments. He also contributes to institutional efforts through the Institutional Review Board and patient education initiatives.

A Presidential Scholar from Northeast Texas Community College, Zach began the Honors Program after graduating from Chapel Hill High School in 2007. As part of the first Presidential Scholars cohort, he developed strong skills in research, writing, and public speaking while building lasting relationships with faculty and peers.

His experience working as a student assistant in the NTCC library helped shape his path in academic librarianship. Zach went on to earn a B.A. in History from Sam Houston State University, an M.S. in Library Science from the University of North Texas, and an M.A. in History from Pittsburg State University. With over a decade of experience, he has supported instruction, research, and student success, including more than ten years at Dallas College before joining UT Southwestern.

He credits NTCC faculty including Dr. Andrew Yox, Dr. Paul Wilhite, Dr. Shirley Clay, Dr. Mary Hearron, Prof. Tom Lynch, Dr. Ron Clinton, Prof. Mandy Smith, Prof. Rex Allen, Prof. James Swann, and Prof. Carrie Pritchett—for helping shape his academic journey and lasting passion for learning.
