Sam Guzman was born and raised in Mt. Pleasant, TX. He is married to Stephanie Guzman, and together they have four children: Jude, Jade, Jubilee, and Juno.
Sam served in the United States Air Force for six years as a crew chief for the F-16 Fighter Jet and the A-10 Thunderbolt, affectionately known as "The Warthog.” He was part of the 301st Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, where he honed his technical skills and discipline.
After completing his military service, Sam pursued higher education at Northeast Texas Community College and Texas A&M Commerce, exploring new career opportunities. His passion for photography led him to travel abroad, where he studied under some of the industry's best photographers. During this time, he also deepened his commitment to missionary work, traveling to Africa and Guatemala to assist with medical missions and raise awareness for communities in need.
Inspired by his love for photography, Sam established Sam Guzman Photography, which has been in business for 12 years. His work has been published, and he has had the opportunity to photograph people and places worldwide. Reflecting on his career, Sam shared in a local newspaper interview, " Photographing people and capturing raw moments in their life has been one of the best gifts I have had the privilege of doing in my life."
In addition to his photography business, Sam currently teaches photography at Northeast Texas Community College, sharing his expertise and passion with aspiring photographers.
