Health Science Division "escapes" in-service with team building activities
How many health science faculty and staff does it take to escape a room? All of them! The NTCC Division of Health Sciences made the most of their in-service opportunities with a team-building exercise and fun escape room. According to Olga Scott, Program and Student Coordinator for Funeral Service Education, it was a great opportunity for colleagues from different programs to work together and become better acquainted.
"It was a wonderful opportunity to collaborate and connect as a team," Scott said.
Naomi Stanford highlighted in national college store publication
The Northeast Texas Community College bookstore was recently highlighted in a national publication! The College Store, the official publication of the National Association of College Stores, published an article in their fall 2024 edition called It’s About Time that focused on how different college bookstores keep track of student worker schedules.

Board of Trustees holds January meeting, elects new officers
The Northeast Texas Community College Board of Trustees began its first meeting of the year on a somber note this Tuesday, Jan. 28th. Dr. Ron Clinton, NTCC President, called for a moment of silence before the meeting to acknowledge Chuck Johns, Chairman of the Board, who passed away unexpectedly on January 16th along with his wife, Sarah.
Tech Orientation Week planned for Jan. 27th-30th
NTCC is kicking off the spring semester with a Tech Orientation Week that will be held from January 27th-30th. This will be a come-and-go event where students can learn how to navigate their online classes, Blackboard, the myEagle student portal, Outlook and more. It will take place in SUB 101 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Haley Colwell represents Eagles Softball at two coaching conferences
Northeast Texas Community College’s Eagles Softball program was represented on the national stage recently! Head Softball Coach, Haley Colwell, traveled to the ABCA baseball convention in Washington DC January 1-6 to serve as a panelist expert in strength and conditioning. She also attended the AHSFCA conference in Little Rock, AR January 10-12, where she was a headline speaker.
