IMPORTANT UPDATE: NTCC will be closed on Monday, Feb. 15 due to winter weather. We will continue to monitor the situation and a decision regarding Tuesday and the rest of the week will be made on Monday afternoon.
There is a good chance that our area will see some severe winter weather in the coming days and we want to make sure the campus community is aware of our inclement weather procedure.
Ultimately, NTCC urges both students and employees to put their own safety first when it comes to dangerous weather. Since many people commute to campus from some distance, weather conditions may vary. If the campus remains open and you do not feel safe driving, please contact your instructor or supervisor to make individual arrangements.
The college's inclement weather procedure is as follows:
- In case of bad weather, NTCC’s decision to close or not will usually be made by 6 a.m.for day classes and by 3 p.m. for evening classes.
- If campus is closed or classes cancelled, the official notice will be sent out via the campus Eagle Alert system (text, email, phone) and a message will be posted on the NTCC homepage (www.ntcc.edu). Messages will also be posted to the official NTCC Facebook page (www.facebook.com/NTCCeagles), Instagram and Twitter (@ntcceagles).
- If no message is posted to these sources, it means NTCC will conduct business as usual. Information about closures or delays will also be sent to local and regional media outlets. However, we encourage you to consult the official college sources listed above.
- In the event that there is a closure or delayed start, students should check Blackboard and their NTCC e-mail for program and course-level details.
