Northeast Texas Community College Sustainable Agriculture students recently participated in a hands-on project at the NTCC Hanson-Sewell Center in Pittsburg.††Under the guidance of Assistant Professor, Chris Oefinger, the students were assigned the task of redesigning the flower bed at the center. A landscaping plan was selected from those submitted by students. The next task included, cleaning the bed, preparing the soil, planting, and replacing the weed guard and mulch. Big Tex Trailers donated bags of mulch for the project.††Shown taking a break from the task are: Front row (from left)†Chris Oefinger, Aimee Hill, and Aaron Hill.
