The World Wide Web is a powerful interactive medium in which Northeast Texas Community College can provide information to many people in our service area and literally throughout the world. NTCC recognizes the benefit to the public and members of the College community in publishing Web pages.
Any department or personnel who is represented by a page, banner or section of our website should assume personal responsibility for its accuracy, quality and timeliness.
A Web page presents the College's image to the large numbers of people in the same way as any publication, advertisement or direct mail piece. NTCC's image to the community is a valuable asset and must be protected. Information published on the Web by College personnel must meet certain basic standards and represent NTCC in a consistent and appropriate manner.
Any site found violating these items is subject to immediate removal from the College resource until compliance is accomplished:
- All Web sites and pages must be consistent with College's published missions and goals
- Information providers must comply with all relevant local, state, and federal laws (including Copyright and Trademark protections) and comply with all relevant NTCC policies and guidlines.
- No direct advertising or solicitation that renders financial gain to the individual will be permitted on a College Web Page.
