Eagles Softball update

The Northeast Texas Community College Eagles softball team traveled to Temple last weekend to participate in a five-game tournament. The Eagles faced San Jacinto, Temple, McLennan, Blinn and Galveston. The team fought hard, but were unable to come back home with a win.

The Lady Eagles faced three teams on Friday. In the first game versus San Jacinto, Northeast put up a good fight.

Brittany Baggett collected two hits and two RBI for the Eagles and helped put the team on the board with a double in the top of the seventh inning.

NTCC Journalism to host BBQ Cook-off

Each spring the NTCC Journalism Department attends the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association conference to compete in collegiate and professional journalism events. This year the team will be traveling to Dallas to show-off its award wining newspaper and literary magazine. In order to alleviate some of the travel expense, the Eagle Staff will be hosting a Bar-B-Q cook-off fundraising event.

Eagles Baseball wins one, drops two against Ranger

The Northeast Texas Community College Eagles baseball team traveled to Ranger College this past weekend and found themselves on the losing side of a three-game series. The Eagles lost the first game 7-6 before coming back to win game two 8-2. Ranger took back the series in game three with a 7-5 win.

In game one, the Eagles tried to recover from a four-run deficit, but the late-game rally was unsuccessful.

Adult Education student, instructor honored with state awards

AEP/SWEPCO recently gave $1,000 to sponsor the upcoming Engineer Roundtable at Northeast Texas Community College. Baseball, Softball kick off spring seasons

The Northeast Texas Community College Eagles Baseball and Softball teams have kicked off their spring seasons. Eagles Softball won their season opener against North Central Texas College 9-6 Saturday. The Eagles defeated NCTC 9-6 on Saturday.

The Eagles collected 11 hits and NCTC 8. Kymber Green earned the win for NTCC.† She pitched four innings, giving up one run, two hits, and striking out two.† Morgan Robinson started the game for NTCC, she pitched three innings, giving up five runs, and six hits.
