Nursing students help out at COVID-19 vaccine clinic

During this time of global pandemic, nurses are at the forefront caring for patients. NTCC Nursing students have been able to help by participating in COVID-19 vaccine clinics. 

Both LVN and RN students have participated both at Titus Regional Medical Center and Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview. On Feb 27, 28 students help deliver 3,500 vaccines given that day at GSMC Vaccine Clinic. 

NTCC Nursing programs are active in our communities. We striving to make our communities healthy and educated about their health.

Conversational Spanish classes offered

Is learning a new language on your resolution list? Now is the time to check it off!

The NTCC Continuing Education Department will offer two Conversational Spanish classes this spring. Both will be taught by Iris Marino and cost $69 each. The Introduction to Conversational Spanish class will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7 p.m. March 23-April 8. It will be followed by Intermediate Conversational Spanish, also on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, April 13-21. Sign up for one or both!

Spring break "Life on the Farm" camp for kids

There’s still time to enroll the kids in green-themed camps. Spring break camps everywhere are filling up fast, but slots remain open for camps where the fun and games revolve around food — growing it, that is. NTCC is hosting Spring Break "Life on the Farm" Camp for kids ages 8-16. It will be held March 15-18 from 9:00 a.m to 3:30 p.m. on the NTCC farm.

Eagles Baseball returns to action

Northeast Texas Community College Baseball returned to the diamond after a lengthy time off from the snow storms that affected most of Texas last week. NTCC hit the road to make up the weekend series that was lost with the Tyler Junior College Apaches. TJC would hold off and Eagle comeback attempt and win the first game of the series 7-6.
