NTCC Eagles Baseball off to hot start in conference

The Northeast Texas Community College Eagles Baseball team is off to a hot start in conference play. The Eagles currently sit near the top of the conference with a 3-1 record.  They swept a three-game series against Bossier Parish Community College this past week.

The Eagles shutout the BPCC in the first game 4-0. Chandler Dean, a Pleasant Grove product, took the win on the mound.  He gave up three hits and zero runs over seven innings.

In the second game, Chandler Mauldin (Rockwall, TX) picked up the win. Mauldin gave up five hits over seven innings with ten strikeouts.  The Eagles had a barrage of hits and ended up winning the game 10-0.  Kyle Moos went three for four at the plate with one home run.

The Eagles won the third game 11-4.  They were actually down much of the game but putting up three runs in the sixth inning gave them a lead they never relinquished.  Tyler Jeans, a Texarkana native, took the victory on the mound for NTCC.  The Eagles lost to Panola 11-7 bringing their record to 3-1.  For more information on the upcoming games please check out ntcceagles.com.
