GED graduation planned for May 15th

The Northeast Texas Community College Adult Education and Literacy program will hold its General Education Development (GED) commencement ceremony on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 7 p.m. at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. Students who have completed their GED certification during the program year will be honored. 

Live streaming will be available for family and friends who are unable to attend in person.  A brief reception will be held in the Whatley Center foyer after the commencement ceremony.

Dr. Ron Clinton celebrated with retirement reception

On Thursday, May 8, the Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) community gathered in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts to honor the retirement of President Dr. Ron Clinton. The event drew NTCC faculty, staff, students, friends, former employees, and public figures from across the region to celebrate Dr. Clinton’s remarkable legacy. Click here for reception photos.

Nursing wins 2025 "Taste of NTCC: Battle of the Booths" event

The Northeast Texas Community College Taste of NTCC: Battle of the Booths event was a huge success! Seven booths served up a variety of delicious dishes for sampling by a large crowd of students, faculty, staff and community members. Proceeds from the event will be split evenly between the participating clubs and organizations.

Each ticket holder was able to cast votes for their favorite booths. The winners of the People’s Choice awards were as follows:

Baseball headed to postseason play

The Northeast Texas Community College Eagles finished the regular season sweeping Navarro College three games to zero to earn the second seed in the Region 14 post season tournament South Bracket. 

NTCC won game one of the series on Tuesday at Northeast 13-9 and then headed to Corsicana on Saturday to finish out the regular season and earn the sweep with a tight 3-2 win in game two and a 9-4 win in game three of the series.
