There is still time to enroll for the May Intersession term if you hurry! This is a great way to quickly complete a class you need for your degree in just three weeks. Renowned stage magician Zak Mirz will mesmerize Mount Pleasant with an unforgettable family-friendly magic show at 7 p.m. on June 14th at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. Zak, a first-generation Texan, and American, discovered solace and wonder in magic after the tragic loss of his father at a young age. Today, he travels the world, sharing his captivating illusions and spreading messages of hope.
Twelve students from NTCC competed at the Second Annual Red River Honors Symposium, hosted by Texas A&M University-Texarkana on Friday May 3. Students from colleges throughout the Red River area, including northeast Texas and into Oklahoma, presented posters showcasing their research from the past year. Students competed in five categories: Social Sciences, Humanities, Health Sciences, STEM, and Service Projects. Six NTCC students won awards and cash prizes.

The Northeast Texas Community College Baseball team is rolling into the Regional Tournament this week with several accolades for the members of the Eagle Baseball team.
Everyone knows that finals can be a stressful time for college students. Residents of NTCC's Housing East and West recently enjoyed a party where they created their own stress balls to help them get through the end of the semester. The process was a bit messy, but fun for all involved.
NTCC is currently accepting housing applications for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Northeast Texas Community College is pleased to offer a variety of math and physics classes throughout the summer. This is a great time for students to complete the math courses needed for their degree plan in a convenient summer format. Options are offered both in-person and online for the Summer I and Summer II terms.
Northeast Texas Community College will host three spring commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 11th in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. This is the largest class ever at NTCC, with almost 450 students graduating! Ceremonies will be as follows:
The Medical Assistant (MA) Program at Northeast Texas Community College has extended its deadline for the 2024-2025 academic year! Prospective students now have through Friday, July 19th to apply. Applications and information are available at www.ntcc.edu/medassist.

This NTCC FFA Land, Forage, Forestry and Homesite is an area competition event that is held each year at the NTCC Whatley Agriculture Complex for all area FFA Chapters in Area 6. The Ag Department and Ag Club set up all of the competition sites including the forestry at our own Nita May’s home.
