For the tenth straight year, Texas Heritage National Bank, originally the National Bank for Daingerfield, has provided signal Presidential Scholarships for top students of the NTCC Honors program.

And this year, for the first time, it has provided not just one, but two such scholarships.

The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts is excited to open its new season with a Sounds of Northeast concert featuring RokDox, an electrifying classic rock horn band, on Saturday, September 13th, at 7:30 p.m. This high-energy show will showcase iconic hits and dynamic performances from this talented group of musicians. Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for students.

For the first time in its history, Alpha Mu Chi, NTCC’s five-star, award-winning chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, will be published in Civic Scholar, a national journal of undergraduate research.

Judges selected the NTCC Phi Theta Kappa chapter project, “Folklore Unique to Northeastern Texas,” from among 416 entries from throughout the nation. Only 15 selected projects appear in the 2025 edition of Civic Scholar.

Litzy Flores, Sarah Hamlin, LaDarrius Patterson, and Isabel Tresidder were recently recognized nationally as “Leaders of Promise.” Each will receive a $1,000 scholarship.

The Northeast Texas Community College Theatre Department invites the community to enjoy an out-of-this-world theatrical event this fall.

The annual Northeast Texas Community College Rodeo will return to the Mount Pleasant Rodeo Grounds October 9–11, 2025. You won’t want to miss the chance to see NTCC Eagles Rodeo athletes go up against some of the top competitors in the Southern Region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association.

Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) is turning 40, and the community is invited to join the party! Since welcoming its first students in 1985, NTCC has proudly served the region for four decades. To celebrate, the college is hosting a 40th Anniversary Community Picnic on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the main campus plaza near the Eagles Nest Pavilion.

The Northeast Texas Community College Eagles Baseball team welcomed about 30 young athletes to campus last weekend for a fun-filled kids camp. Youth ages 5-12 had the opportunity to learn baseball fundamentals, practice their skills, and play alongside NTCC players.

The Northeast Texas Community College Board of Trustees met for its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, August 26th. A Public Hearing on Proposed 2025-2026 Operating Budget and Proposed Tax Rate was held prior to the meeting.  There were no public comments.
