Description of Job Duties:

The Associate Degree Nursing Faculty member is responsible for delivering competent, evidence-based classroom and clinical instruction in accordance with the college's mission and the Texas Board of Nursing standards.  They oversee curriculum development, student assessment, and participation in college and professional activities.  This role involves academic advising, committee membership, and active engagement in ongoing professional growth to promote student success and program excellence.

Description of Job Duties:

• Responsible for providing quality instruction to students thus ensuring the fulfillment of departmental educational goals and objectives.  
• These responsibilities require leadership in both academic and clinical areas.

Experience and Other Qualifications Required:

• Must have an unencumbered RN license in the state of Texas.
• Prior experience in nursing education or academic support is preferred, along with a strong knowledge of nursing curriculum, exam development, and student assessment strategies.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Proficiency in educational technology, learning management systems and exam software

Description of Job Duties:

• Be familiar with the mission, goals and objectives of NTCC.
• Teach students in assigned classes in accordance with the course descriptions published in the catalog, the course syllabus, and within institutional policies and procedures.
• Meet classes regularly and punctually and be prepared to conduct them as effectively as possible.

The primary purpose of this position is the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities.  At a minimum, the related activities include instructionn, academic advising, serving on various committees, and participating in local, state, regional, and national professional activities and organizations.  An instructor performs all other duties as directed by the appropriate program director, Dean, Vice President for Instruction, or the President.
