Description of Job Duties
- Oversees circulation operations of the Charlie and Helen Hampton Library.
- Patron assistance (including basic computer and printing help)
- Assists with managing student workers.
- Library collection maintenance (including inventorying and managing reserves shelf)
- In-house marketing
- Equipment maintenance and delivery.
- Answering telephone.
Experience and Other Qualifications Required
- Associate's Degree in any discipline
- Experience using Windows 11 and Microsoft Office.

How do I obtain a library card?
Library cards may be issued to NTCC students, faculty, staff, and students of Texas A&M University-Texarkana who are taking classes on the NTCC campus, as well as to high school students and community residents of Camp, Morris, and Titus counties.
A student ID (Eagle Passport), valid driver's license or other picture ID must be presented when signing up for a library card. High school students under 18 must also have a permission form or letter signed by his or her parents before checking out materials. Library cards allow you to check out books and videos for free.
Off-Site Centers- NTCC faculty, students, and staff at off-site centers, (Pittsburg Hanson-Sewell Center, the Naples-Omaha Center, Our Place Restaurant, and the Industrial Technology Training Center), may register for library cards and request and return library materials without having to physically visit the library on NTCC’s main campus. Library materials may be requested from any center director in person, via phone or email, and can be returned to any off-site location.

What are Library Guides or LibGuides and how do I gain access?
LibGuides are subject specific research guides created by librarians. Library guides share knowledge on subjects, topics, courses, and processes related to academics at NTCC.

How do I access the library’s online streaming video collection?
The library subscribes to an online streaming video collection from Films On Demand. The collection is similar to Netflix, but it contains educational videos instead of popular movies. These videos are often used as resources for research papers and school projects. If you are off-campus, please contact the library at (903)434-8151 for log-in credentials.

How do I access the library’s eBook collection?
The library subscribes to eBook Collection for Community Colleges. If you are off-campus, please contact the library at (903)434-8151 for log-in credentials. eBooks are available for download on your computer and all eReaders except the Kindle, which they hope to add soon.
