Save the date: Scare Affair planned for Oct. 29th

It’s time to put on your best Halloween costume, dust off your trick-or-treat basket and head out to Northeast Texas Community College for the 34th Annual Scare Affair. 

The event is from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29 on the plaza of the main NTCC campus (located on FM 1735 near Chapel Hill ISD). There will be free candy for all trick-or-treaters, low-cost games for all ages, a costume contest with cash prizes and much more!

Job fair next week

REMINDER: Northeast Texas Community College will host a job fair on Tuesday, September 20th from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. in the Student Union Building (SUB). The event is open to the public in addition to NTCC students. Recruiters from local business and industry will be in attendance. Here is an updated list of employers confirmed for the event:

Chapin named Dr. Mary Hood Texas Region Scholar

Jordan Chapin, a student at Northeast Texas Community College, has recently been named the 2022 Dr. Mary Hood Texas Region Scholar.  With this recognition, she will receive a $1,500 scholarship. 

The Dr. Mary Hood Texas Region Scholarship is presented to the Texas applicant with the highest score from Phi Theta Kappa’s Spring Scholarship Application, which help new Phi Theta Kappa Members defray educational expenses while enrolled in associate degree programs.
