Two students complete solar installation training at NTCC

Dustin D. Haley and T.W.W. Buffalo recently completed the Solar Photovoltaic Installer Course (ELMT 1002) at Northeast Texas Community College. This 48-hour class prepares students for the†Texas Electrician Solar Installer classification or a pathway towards NABCEP photovoltaic installer certification.

The course involves classroom and hands-on laboratory instruction over solar fundamentals, site selection, best practice installation, system maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.

Linda Zepeda commits $500 to Campaign for the Whatley

Linda Zepeda of Mount Pleasant recently committed $500 to benefit the Northeast Texas Community College†Campaign for the Whatley. These funds will be used to help update the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. The goal for the campaign is to raise $750,000 over the next three years. Pat Wommack contributes to Campaign for the Whatley

Pat Wommack of Lone Star recently gave $1,000 to benefit the Northeast Texas Community College†Campaign for the Whatley. This gift was made in honor of Mrs. Wommack's daughter-in-law, Kim Wommack, who is a Professor of Art and Division Director for Creative and Performing Arts at NTCC. The goal for the campaign is to raise $750,000 over the next three years to help update the aging performing arts facility.

Free GED/ESL courses offered by NTCC

The Adult Education Department at Northeast Texas Community College will offer free General Education Development (GED) classes and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes at various locations throughout the area. Students interested in attending classes must enroll in a 12-hour orientation. The information regarding dates/locations of classes is included below:
