The Northeast Texas Community College Rodeo will be held Oct. 21-22 at the Pittsburg Rodeo Arena. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. on both nights and admission is $5 for children and $10 for adults. The rodeo will feature top collegiate athletes from†colleges and universities within the Southern Region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association.

The Lady Eagles soccer team faced off against the 13th ranked Navarro for the second time in a region game Tuesday. Navarro came out strong and found the back of the net in the 4th minute giving them a 1-0 lead. The Lady Eagles were able to uphold the pressure and keep the score at 1-0. In the 25th minute†Esther Okoronkwo†was able to capitalize on a penalty kick and even the score.

The Northeast Texas Community College Art Department is hosting Diversity in Clay, a pottery and sculpture exhibit by Llwanda Golden through October 26 in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts.

"Llwanda is a prolific artist with a high level of sophistication and detail. From her whimsical teapots to lifelike human busts, each piece is unique and special," Debbie Strong, NTCC Instructor of Art, said.

Breast Cancer Awareness Week†October†10-14, 2016

Here are some very creative and fun ways that the NTCC family can support Breast Cancer Awareness. Join us in the fight to find a cure.

Two Northeast Texas Community College sophomores have been named 2016 Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise by the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

Northeast Texas Community College recently learned that it was one of only nine community colleges nationwide to win†recognition†for its innovative agriculture programs by the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC).

As a recipient of the 2016 Green Genome Awards, NTCC was specifically honored for Program Design and Delivery in Sustainable Agriculture. The award comes with a prize of $10,000, which will be used to further sustainable agriculture efforts at NTCC.

"I am excited that our work over the past several years is getting national recognition.

The Northeast Texas Community College Culinary Arts Program will host a special Thursday Night Dinner on October 27. The dinner will be held at the NTCC Culinary School in historic downtown Pittsburg and is open to the public.†

Northeast Texas Community College was recently ranked 19th among all Texas colleges and universities by the website OnlineColleges.com. Colleges were ranked on a variety of factors including affordability, student services and availability of online programs.

NTCC has drastically increased the number of online courses offered in recent years in order to better serve the changing needs of students.
