Northeast Texas Community College Softball finished off January with a road trip to San Antonio, Texas for the Alamo City Junior College Showcase tournament. In game one Friday NTCC picked up win number one of the season against Southern Arkansas Tech with a 5-1 victory.

Northeast Texas Community College Rodeo was back in the saddle last weekend to start off the 2021 semester with a Rodeo hosted by Texas A&M University Commerce. The event was held at the Hopkins County Civic Center in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
Garrett Fields was a bright spot for the Eagles with earning a seventh place finish in Steerwrestling.
Once again the NTCC Business Club has you covered for Valentine’s Day! The club's annual chocolate covered strawberry fundraiser is underway. Get your orders in early! Texas A&M University-Texarkana at NTCC will host a Coffee Chat (via Zoom) with Dr. Miles Young on Friday, February 5 at 10 a.m. Young, who is the NTCC Director of Dual Credit and Distance Education, will discuss his experiences as a transfer student with A&M-Texarkana and also give advice for future students interested in transferring to A&M-Texarkana.

The Northeast Texas Community College Softball team made the trip to Grayson College in Denison, Texas on Wednesday for the inaugural games under new Head Coach Joshua Freeman. The Eagles dropped game one 11-3 and game two by a score of 13-2.
The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a check for $30,000 from Barry Smith of Pennsylvania. The funds benefit NTCC’s Carroll Shelby Automotive Progam and will go toward an upcoming Shelby restoration project. Smith is pictured (right) with his grandson, Parker, on a recent visit to northeast Texas in the driveway of a Pittsburg home formerly occupied by Shelby.

Northeast Texas Community College athletes started arriving on campus January 14th in preparation for the upcoming seasons. Arrival on campus was spread out over a few days to allow for social distancing and COVID-19 testing as the athletes arrived back to campus.
Carter BloodCare will be on campus Tuesday, Jan. 26 conducting a blood drive. Please help save a life by donating blood! The blood drive bus will be in the parking lot by the Student Union Building from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

• Blood pressure, pulse, body temp and hemoglobin (red cell count) checks
• Following donation, donors can learn their blood type and non-fasting cholesterol count
