Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) is excited to announce that it has begun the search for its next president. The new leader will provide visionary leadership to advance the college’s mission and strategic goals. Reporting directly to the Board of Trustees, the president will oversee all academic and administrative areas. Candidates should hold a doctoral degree and have at least five years of senior executive experience, preferably in a community college setting.

The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts is thrilled to announce a special performance by the RokDox, an electrifying classic rock horn band, on Saturday, January 25th, at 7:30 p.m. Audiences can expect a high-energy show filled with iconic hits and unforgettable performances by this talented group of musicians. Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for students.

The Work4College Application is officially OPEN for the Summer of 2025! The Work4College Program is a great way to attend NTCC without acquiring debt and experience hands-on learning by working in a department on campus. The application is available to fill out and submit online at www.Work4College.com. The deadline to apply is April 11, 2025. 

In the Work4College Program, students may work in a variety of roles, including:
• Assisting on the college farm Painting classrooms and dorm rooms 

Northeast Texas Community College will soon begin the search for its sixth president. Board Chairman Chuck Johns announced at the December meeting of the Board of Trustees that the search will be conducted in-house by the NTCC Human Resources department. The role will be posted, and applications accepted beginning January 6, 2025.

The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a check for $2,000 from Dr. Michael Minadeo. The funds will be used to provide scholarships to students pursuing their degree in nursing at NTCC. The endowed Minadeo Nursing Scholarship has helped support nursing students for many years and will continue to do so into the future. The Northeast Texas Community College Board of Trustees met for its regular December meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 17th. All seven trustees were present. The first order of business was the Presentation of Independent Audit by the firm of Axley & Rode.

Northeast Texas Community College will be closed for the

Amir Sultan, an NTCC Dual Credit student from Ore City High School, was recently named a recipient of the prestigious Quest Bridge Scholarship. According to his Ore City Dual Credit Liaison, Amanda Ainsworth, the scholarship will allow Sultan to attend University of Pennsylvania (or UPenn - an Ivy League university) at no cost to him. The scholarship even covers his travel expenses!
