
Northeast Texas Community College will celebrate the start of the fall semester with its annual Weeks of Welcome, beginning Monday, September 15. The event series is designed to help students, faculty, and staff connect, build community, and launch the academic year with Eagle pride.
This year’s Weeks of Welcome holds special significance as NTCC marks its 40th Anniversary. Activities will highlight the college’s history and accomplishments while bringing the campus together for fun, service, and celebration.
Scheduled events include:
Glow Crazy: 1985 — Monday, September 15, 7–11 p.m., Student Union Building 101. A neon-themed throwback dance party celebrating NTCC’s first year of classes.
LifeShare Blood Drive — Tuesday, September 16, Student Union Building 101. Help NTCC reach its goal of 40 donations for 40 years.
Money Matters: Financial Literacy Simulator — Wednesday, September 17, 12:30–2 p.m., Student Union Building. An interactive program to strengthen money management skills.
Backyard Bash 2025 — Thursday, September 18, 6–9 p.m., NTCC Athletics Complex. A birthday celebration featuring barbecue, games, music, and appearances by Eagle athletes.
“Weeks of Welcome is about more than just events,” said Ja'Quacy Minter, NTCC Director of Student Development. “It’s a chance to celebrate milestones, create connections, and remind ourselves that at NTCC, we are One Flock. One Love. One Community.”
