Theatre Northeast presents Harvey

Theatre Northeast will present Mary Chase's 1944 Pulitzer Prize Winning comedy†Harvey†in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on the Northeast Texas Community College campus. Performances will be April 23, 24 and 25 at 7:30 p.m. and April 26 at 2:05 p.m.

Running on Broadway for over four years and 1,775 performances and being honored with the coveted Pulitzer Prize, the celebrated comedy†Harvey†became one of the most popular and successful plays ever produced.

Titus County Literacy Advisory Council to hold meeting

The Titus County Literacy Advisory Council, Inc. will hold a meeting Tuesday, April 14 at 2:30 p.m. at the Community Resource Center (105 North Riddle Street, Mount Pleasant). Anyone interested in supporting adult literacy activities in Titus County and surrounding areas is invited to attend. NTCC Rodeo to host annual Kids Rodeo

The Northeast Texas Community College Rodeo team will host its annual Special Needs and Kids Rodeos Wednesday, April 15. The Special Needs Rodeo begins at 10:30 a.m. and the Kids Rodeo begins at noon. Each spring, elementary schools from around the area bring their kindergarten through second grade students to NTCC to watch an exhibition rodeo performed by the NTCC Rodeo Team. Thousands of school children have attended these events throughout the years.†

Medical assistant and coding informational sessions planned

The Northeast Texas Community College Medical Assistant and Medical Coding programs will host two informational sessions for prospective students April 9 and April 20. Anyone interested in pursuing a career as a medical assistant or medical coder are invited to attend. Fast track office skills certificate program begins April 2


Limited seats are still available for Northeast Texas Community College's new fast track office skills certificate program that begins April 2. This 21-hour course is designed to help individuals cultivate the skills necessary to seek entry-level work in an office setting. Topics covered will include Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, business etiquette and more. The course also serves as a bridge into more advanced certificates or an associate of applied science degree in office technology.†
