Library Services

We are always looking for faculty recommendations of new, relevant resources to add to the library collection.  

If you a find an advertisement or review for a book that looks useful for your classes, send a photocopy to the library with a note requesting consideration.  If you have only the title or a subject, please contact the reference librarian at ext. 8152.

If you would like to recommend a new subscription to a magazine, journal, or newspaper, also contact the reference librarian. 

For questions or to put materials on reserve, call ext. 8151.

 To reserve a date and time for libary instruction, call Heather Shaw at ext. 8152.

    From our viewpoint, several steps greatly help NTCC students become more proficient in using college libraries:

To reserve equipment for classroom use, call ext. 8151.  Only faculty may request or pick up equipment.  Equipment is reserved on a first-come, first-served basis according to the date and time of request.  

    If you want to take any equipment off campus, please tell us when you call to reserve it.  There are restrictions on off-campus use and types of equipment that can be taken off campus.

The Charlie and Helen Hampton Library provides faculty, students, staff, and community users with access to a wide variety of information resources both within and beyond the brick and glass walls of our building at the center of the NTCC campus.  Students who learn to use this library well can go to any larger academic library and begin research with confidence.
