Boston travel study trip planned

† † † Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) is planning a travel-study course to Boston. The trip will take place next year from May 25-29. This opportunity is available to students who wish to receive college credit, as well as community members who would just like to participate in a fun, cultural experience.



† † † An informational meeting will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 12:15 p.m. in Room 107 in the Humanities building. Students can receive course credit for GOVT 2305, ENGL 1302, or ENGL 2342 for participating in the Boston trip.

NTCC to host Veteran's Day event



Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) will host a Veterans Day ceremony on Monday, Nov. 12 on the plaza of the main campus. This will include a public event from 11 a.m. to noon. Veterans and their families are invited to stay after from noon to one for a special appreciation luncheon. Guaranty Bond Bank sponsors The Cast of Beatlemania

Guaranty Bond Bank recently gave $3,000 to sponsor the upcoming performance of The Cast of Beatlemania at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College. The concert will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are still available by calling the Whatley Box Office at 903-434-8181. Culinary arts to host buffet nights

The Northeast Texas Community College Culinary Arts Program will host three special Buffet Nights during the month of November. These will be held †at the NTCC Culinary Institute in historic downtown Pittsburg and are open to the public.



Dinners will be held†from 6-8 p.m.†on November 8, 15 and 29. Seating is restaurant-style and to-go orders will be available as quantities allow. The cost is $10 per person. Reservations will not be accepted.

Annual NTCC College Night set for November 28

The Annual College Night, sponsored by Northeast Texas Community College, is†set for Wednesday, Nov. 28 in the Student Union Building (SUB) at NTCC.



Colleges and universities will have representatives on hand from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. to provide admissions and financial aid information to high school†students and their parents. All students from ninth to twelfth grade and NTCC students are invited to attend.

The Cast of Beatlemania to perform at Whatley Center

† † †The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College will take concertgoers back to a groovier time as it hosts The Cast of Beatlemania on Saturday, Nov. 10.



† † †The Cast of Beatlemania is one of the most popular Beatles tribute bands out there. Their show covers the entire span of The Beatles' legendary career. From the early hits like "Twist and Shout" to later ones like "Let It Be," The Cast of Beatlemania will revisit them all ? including costume styles.



Northeast Police Academy to hold day, evening programs

The Northeast Police Academy at Northeast Texas Community College will offer both day and evening academy options beginning in early 2013. Both programs will be held in the state-of-the-art criminal justice facility on the main NTCC campus.

The 17-week daytime fast-track academy will begin on January 14. Courses meet from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
