Students will use the supercomputer to conduct:
- High precision numerical analysis calculations
- Monte Carlo and Molecular Dynamics many-body simulations (i.e. charges on a conductor, stars in a galaxy, gases in a chamber, crystal growth, etc.)
- Generate 3D electron orbital and molecule models
- Conduct physics research
- Conduct chemistry research
Students will use the supercomputer in the following courses:
- Advanced Physics II & III
- Differential Equations
- Chemistry I & II
- Organic Chemistry I & II
- Scientific Computational Techniques
- Plans are being developed to incorporate supercomputer use into some engineering and biology courses
Students working on special projects such as Honors Projects will have access to the supercomputer.
