Early Classroom Experience

At NTCC, we believe the best way to learn is by doing. Our program includes two cornerstone education courses that provide students with 32 total hours of hands-on field experience (16 hours per course) in real K–12 classrooms:

  1. EDUC 1301: Introduction to the Teaching Profession – A foundational look at the role of an educator in the society.
  2. EDUC 2301: Introduction to Special Populations – A deep dive into supporting diverse learners and inclusive classroom settings.

Certification Tracks

  1. The AAT is a versatile "Multiple Levels" degree. Whether your passion is working with young children or preparing high schoolers for the world, our guided pathways support all three primary Texas certification tracks:
  2. EC–6 (Early Childhood through Grade 6)
  3. 4–8 (Grades 4 through 8)
  4. Secondary (High School/Grades 7 through 12)
