Reyes wins award for administrative excellence in Honors, PTK

The 2020 NTCC Honors Northeast/Webb Society film on Bo Pilgrim, the great chicken magnate of Northeast Texas, is now available to the public. One can view the feature-length film, and experience the complete film score of Texas composer, Kenny Goodson, by accessing the NTCC honors film site at www.ntcc.edu/honorsfilm.
The Northeast Texas Community Foundation recently received a check for $3,000 from Drs. Jim and Paula Archer. Jim Archer is pictured (left) presenting the gift to Dr. Jonathan McCullough, NTCC Executive Vice President for Advancement.
Frankie and Henrietta King recently presented the Northeast Texas Community College Foundation with a check for $600. The gift provides a scholarship for a Work4College student. The Kings (center) are pictured presenting the check to Nita May (left), NTCC Director of Development, and Dr.
The NTCC Business Club is selling raffle tickets for a beautiful, patriotic wreath (pictured). Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5. Proceeds will help fund various community projects and scholarships. The wreath is on display in the BT Building.

The Northeast Texas Community College Adult Education and Literacy program will hold its General Education Development (GED) commencement ceremony on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 7 p.m. at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. All students who have completed the NTCC GED program during the past year will be honored. Due to COVID restrictions, guest attendance will be limited. Live streaming will be available for family and friends who are unable to attend in person.

The Northeast Texas Community College Baseball team hit the road Thursday for a single game against the Bossier Parish Community College Cavaliers to open the three-game series. BPCC would defeat the Eagles 5-2 to earn the opening game win.

Back by popular demand with a new twist….
The Kids Homesteading College is set for June 14th through June 24th running Monday through Thursday of each week from 8 am to noon. The twist to this camp is that each camper will be buddied up with a “big brother” or “big sister” from the Work4College students to experience the farm and gardens each day! Kid’s Farm College is offered to students 8 to 16 years of age with an interest in gardening/farming or love of animals.
