Jessie Parchman, a Presidential Honors Scholar at NTCC and a Chapel Hill high school senior, became the first person from this region to attend the Public Leadership Education Network Conference (PLEN). Jessie also serves as a chapter officer for NTCC’s Phi Theta Kappa chapter, Alpha Mu Chi.
The NTCC Career and Transfer Team will host a FAFSA Day event on Wednesday, Feb. 16. It will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in BT 111B. Staff will be available to assist students with completing their FAFSA application, so please bring parent(s) and student 2020 W2s and tax returns.
The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a $25,000 gift from the Carroll Shelby Foundation. Aaron Shelby (left), is pictured presenting the check to Dr. Jonathan McCullough, NTCC Executive Vice President for Advancement, at the Barrett-Jackson auction event held in Scottsdale, Arizona last week. The funds will be used to support NTCC’s Carroll Shelby Automotive Program.

Students of Honors Northeast took yet another festive day trip to the Dallas metro last Friday, 28 January. With the help of donors to Honors Northeast, especially Drs. Jim and Paula Archer, the group enjoyed many special experiences.

Northeast Texas Community College Rodeo is pleased to announce our first annual Rodeo alumni dinner and team fundraiser April 9, 2022 at the Mount Pleasant Rodeo Arena Becky & Buddy McCollum Events Center & Pavilion.
In case of bad weather, NTCC’s decision to close or not will usually be made by 6 a.m. for day classes and by 3 p.m. for evening classes. If the campus is closed or classes cancelled, the official notice will be sent out via the campus Eagle Alert system* (see below) and a message will be posted on the NTCC homepage (www.ntcc.edu).

Northeast Texas Community College Women’s Soccer athlete and student Athletic Trainer Zoe Craven has been named this week’s Longview Orthopaedic Clinic Athlete of the Week.
The Northeast Texas Community College Board of Trustees met for its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 25. In addition to action items, Dr. Ron Clinton, President, gave a report on the Community College Finance Commission.
