Physical Therapist Assistant

NTCC was a good choice for us because it is an accelerated program and was close to home. We enjoyed making friendships with equally driven people. We recommend NTCC because of the intimate setting and more thorough instruction from professors. After graduation, we will prepare for entrance into work field and finding an actual job. We appreciated on-the-job training and resume' building course combined with Scorebuilders workshop for preparation for our boards.

The NTCC PTA Program was close to home and an accelerated program. We would recommend NTCC to others because it is a small and close knit community where you get to know your classmates. The PTA Program taught us time management and effective communication with our peers.

NTCC offers numerous degrees and programs, but also has a small community with great people. NTCC offered the PTA program which allowed us first generation students to have a very rewarding career after only 18 months.

Anna Gaston and Becca Daniel both graduated from NTCC’s Physical Therapist Assistant Program in 2022. They said that the hands-on labs prepared them for patient treatment once in the workforce. “The professors truly care about the students and foster a positive learning environment.” Both are now currently working as licensed PTAs. The credit classroom and lab experiences with preparing them to be successful professionally.

As a student of the Physical Therapist Assistant program here at NTCC, I have gained the confidence and skills to expand my knowledge beyond the classroom and into my career. I highly recommend this program to others looking to expand their repertoire of knowledge and skills.

Looking back on our time in the PTA program, we can appreciate how challenging it was because it made us grow as future clinicians. We gained vital hands-on experience that will shape us into successful PTAs.

I am about to finish the NTCC PTA program. What I liked most about this program is the hands-on learning approach that we used in lab. This kinesthetic approach to learning helped me hone my skills as a therapist and prepared me for the workforce. I feel that having varied learning environments from classroom to lab to clinical rotations this program is the best way to prepare for the future.

The PTA program was a good choice because this program is highly respected amongst professionals in this career field. I was provided with a solid foundation of knowledge that will give me a strong start as a physical therapist assistant.
