The Northeast Texas Community College Vet Assistant program recently celebrated its third graduating class on Monday, August 10, 2026.
Fourteen new students recently graduated from the program: Molly Brady, Vanessa Buendia, Susan Cassler, Sherlyn Castillo, Joni Figueroa, Emma Fortenberry, Eliana Johnson, Briel Kershaw, Alice Lopez, Ana Lopez, Manuela Paresdes Bradley, Juliana Perez, Emily Salaises and Carla Scott.
Becoming a veterinary assistant is no small feat. It requires a unique blend of technical knowledge, emotional re-silience, and a genuine passion for animal welfare. These graduates have navigated rigorous coursework, hands-on training, and real-world experiences, emerging as skilled professionals ready to make a difference in the veteri-nary community.
Kenzie Taylor, Director of Continuing Education and Corporate Training, states, “Our Veterinary Assistant graduates are entering a growing job market with the skills and knowledge needed to excel. The demand for qualified veterinary professionals continues to rise, and these students are well-prepared to step into their ca-reers and make an immediate impact.”
