Theatre Northeast at Northeast Texas Community College will hold auditions for its fall production of 12 Angry Jurors on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 6 p.m. in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts.
The classic courtroom drama features a large ensemble cast and follows 12 jurors tasked with deciding the fate of a young defendant. As deliberations unfold, personalities clash, assumptions are challenged and the jurors are forced to confront their own biases.
Those interested in auditioning do not need to prepare a monologue. Auditions will consist of reading selected scenes, or “sides,” from the script.
A rehearsal and performance calendar will be provided at auditions. Those who are cast should be prepared to attend all scheduled rehearsals and performances.
“This is a fantastic show with a big cast, and we would love to see a great turnout for auditions,” Theatre Northeast Director Dr. Page Petrucka, said. “It is definitely a commitment, but I promise it will be absolutely worth it.”
12 Angry Jurors will be performed Nov. 12-14 at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on the NTCC campus.
