Psi Beta National Honor Society held its 2026 Spring Induction on April 2, marking its 39th year of continuous student involvement at NTCC. Hailey Petrosino of Kingwood TX was inducted in a candlelight ceremony. Asia Bayoud, guest speaker from East Texas A&M University, presented her original research titled “The Illusions of Memory”.
Ms. Bayoud was accompanied by her mentor, Dr. Benton Pierce, “who are both very knowledgeable in the area of context on memory,” reported Dr. Skaar. Psi Beta members and guests had an opportunity to converse with the two following the presentation. Victoria Murphy stated, “Asia Bayoud was an incredibly engaging speaker in her discussion of memory, and it was a privilege to also learn from Dr. Benton Pierce, whose insight added another level of depth to the evening.”
