Dr. Chris McAllister, NTCC Biology professor, is a coauthor of the recently published second edition of The Amphibians and Reptiles of Arkansas.
Published by the University of Arkansas Press in 2026, the book provides an updated look at the diverse amphibian and reptile species found throughout Arkansas. McAllister coauthored the book with Drs. Stanley E. Trauth, Michael Plummer and Henry W. Robison.
The second edition updates the original work with current information about the state's amphibians and reptiles, serving as a resource for researchers, students, naturalists and others interested in the region's wildlife.
