Northeast Texas Community College recently received a memorial gift that will impact students for generations to come. Dr. Kevin Rose, NTCC President, and his wife, Tracie, presented the NTCC Foundation with a $10,000 check to establish the Paula Rose Memorial Scholarship.

The scholarship honors the memory of Dr. Rose’s mother, Paula Rose, who passed away in October 2025. A longtime resident of Mount Pleasant, she dedicated much of her life to serving others, particularly through her work in libraries and her commitment to education and community engagement.

“This scholarship is a powerful tribute to a life centered on service, education, and community,” said Dr. Jon McCullough, Executive Vice President for Advancement. “Because of this generous gift, Mrs. Rose’s legacy will continue to open doors for NTCC students and positively impact lives for years to come.”

If you would like to contribute to this or other NTCC Foundation scholarship funds, you may give online anytime at www.ntcc.edu/give. Supporters are also encouraged to participate in East Texas Giving Day on April 28 by visiting www.ntcc.edu/etgd.
